I really didn't like the beginning of the episode with the fire.
I listen to The Pod Job and this is the latest episode they've posted so I just heard it. I have to agree with them in that Aimee as a character seems like Trouble. There was also a lengthy digression where they point out how into a guy you'd have to be to have sex in a stable, and later admit they would for Eliot, haha. Having grown up around stables, I'm not so sure, but.
I'm trying to write a fic so this episode was the first indication I was going to have a big timeline problem. Aimee says it's been eight years since they saw each other, but in The Wedding Job, Eliot says that instead of marrying Aimee he liberated Croatia. The war was 1991-1995. People take the location of this episode to mean that Eliot is from Kentucky but I'm not so sure. It's implied that he last saw Aimee there but I didn't take that to mean he grew up there. Ryvbg'f qnq yvirf va Bxynubzn naq gur jevgref frrz gb unir qrpvqrq yngre ba gb tb zber jvgu gung.
Some other reviewers had problems with the way Eliot and Aimee get together in this episode and I feel like I needed more backstory about them so it seemed more ok. From the commentary, I know the two writers who wrote this episode were new at writing for tv, seemed like they were somewhat familiar with fanfic, and they had kind of a thing for Christian Kane. Several of the producers were also really familiar with fanfic fb V guvax gurl tnir jevgref zber yrrjnl va fbzr bs gur guvatf gung znqr vg va.
Poor Gina had to do both the accent and speak Mandarin in this one, although it was kind of fun. The costumes were great.
Absolutely love Sterling as a character. "He's evil Nate" indeed.
If it seems like I have a lot to say about this episode, it's because it was all fic research. ;)
