Good...um... afternoon everyone (sorry about that - there may have been a lie in today)! Working from home in lockdown is taking a toll as the days slide into one another. A weekday no longer feels different to a weekend - I don't know about everyone else but work is spilling over into personal time and vice-verse. I need to work on better routines!

However on the fun side of the equation - today we're watching and commenting about season 1 episode 12 - we're almost at season end - The First David Job (remember we're watching in the intended order not the aired order). Expect spoilers for episode 1-11 in the comments.

If you want to comment about anything that happens in later episodes, please use rot13 to encode your comment, so anyone trying to avoid spoilers can do so. And yes, there are some people here watching for the first time!

Not sure what to comment about? How about your favourite scene? Your favourite character so far? What surprised you? Did any of the things said resonate with you? How about setting or design choices?

And don't forget about our fic prompt post if anything strikes inspiration! We also welcome icons, banners and other graphics for those who are visually artistically inclined (or point us to people making them).

If you're willing to host or post a weekly discussion post, please leave a comment on the schedule and say which one!

Thanks to everyone who is commenting! It's the last episode of S1 next week - shall we go straight into season 2?

Can you remind me where to find the intended order? I have DVDs which I assume (shrug?) came in the aired order?

The DVDs should have the intended order. It's the streaming services that do not.

Well. Nate is definitely sliding downwards fast. I like the emotional interactions swirling around Maggie.

Sterling is pretty smart. I like an intelligent antagonist. The best thing, for me, was the "think like each other" part of the episode—though I will forever maintain that Sophie never hooked herself up to that wire. She *was* attached, by the end, but how did she get that way?

Sophie done wrong, and both Nate and Sterling picked up on that, in their different ways. It's believable characterisation that she just couldn't resist going for both Davids, and uses the excuse of vengeance for Nate, but as a member of a team, she really flubbed it. She could have asked, and they might well have gone for it anyway.
